Emma Ruth Reed

Mrs. Emma Ruth Reed, 86, of Dalton passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Reed in 2009 and grandson, Andy Reed. Emma is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Bridget Reed and Kenny and Melanie Reed all of Dalton; grandchildren, Kerri Shirley, Kristina and Jess Langford, Dale and Sarah Reed, Sam Reed, Brinkley Kate Reed, Caroline Reed, Austin Brown and Skylar Brown; great-grandchildren, Gracie Reed, Emma Kate Reed, AnLeigh Shirley, Coy Reed and Wyatt Langford; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Darey Kittle officiating. Burial will be in Varnell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Salem Baptist Church Youth Ministries, 1448 Pleasant Grove Drive, Dalton Ga. 30721.
