Sue Langford

While surrounded by her loving family, Sue Townsend Langford went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 19, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Patty Garrett Townsend and was preceded in death by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hazel and J.C. Langford and son, Jon Langford.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Larry Langford of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Buckie Burgess of Rocky Face; son, Tyler Langford and his fiancé, Rebekah Skelton of Dalton; grandchildren, CC Burgess, Hank Burgess, Mattie Burgess and Will Burgess; father, Junior Townsend and his wife, Janie Townsend; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Elinor Townsend, Greg and Lisa Townsend, and Brad and Karen Townsend all of Dalton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Cindy Langford; sister-in-law, Sandra McCarley of Dalton; nieces and nephews; and special attention and love were given by Kathy West Walker for many years.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of RossWoods Adult Day Service, Ridgewood Manor, Southern Haven and Homestead Hospice for their love and care for Sue.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Level Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 922 E. Morris Street, Dalton Ga. 30721 or to Grove Level Baptist Church, 2802 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton Ga. 30721.
