Trevylian Andrew Nelson III, age 46, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away March 31, 2017. Known as “Andy” to his family and “Trev” to his friends, he was born June 18,1970 in Dalton, Georgia. He was a graduate of Southeast Whitfield High School and received an associate degree from Dalton State College. He later attended the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. After graduation Andy worked as a television account executive. He was well known as an avid UGA football fan. He loved his time in Athens and every Saturday in the fall he could be found cheering on the Dawgs with his very own pet bulldog companion, Miss Georgia. His “bulldog bark” will be greatly missed. Andy had many interests in life, and had a particular passion for photography. He had a unique style and captured many beautiful photos of his family, friends and landscapes. Andy also loved the outdoors and spent much time on the water boating and skiing when he was younger. He loved to fish and he spent many weekends at the family cabin in Blue Ridge catching trout in Fighting Town Creek. Friendship was extremely important to Andy, and he was as loyal of a friend as anyone could ask for. People gravitated to him because of his huge personality, big smile, and incredible sense of humor. To his family, Andy will always be remembered as the handsome, red-haired boy who was full of life and laughter. He was preceded in death by his grandparents J.B. and Josephine Watkins of Chatsworth, GA, Jones Edward and Arabelle Nelson of Savannah, GA, his father, Trevylian Andrew Nelson of Dalton and most recently, his uncle, Donald Nelson of Atlanta. He is survived by his devoted wife Heather Nelson of Chattanooga, his loving mother, Mary Nelson of Dalton, his sister Ashley (Randy) Gallagher of Atlanta, his nephews and niece (Reece, Declan and Josephine Gallagher), his aunts Elizabeth (Mike) Hill of Dunwoody and Helen Nelson of Atlanta as well numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
