Mrs. Lois Ralston Deems, 92, of Dalton, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017.
She was born November 4, 1924 to the late Clifford Ralston and Millie Long Ralston and was preceded in death by her husband, John Elston Deems; sisters, Ruby Weaver, Lillie Sandige, Loretta Ralston, Esmer Long, and Viva Ralston; brothers, Wayne Ralston, Willie Ralston, Joseph Ralston and Thomas Ralston; grandson, Hunter Pierce Ellis.
Lois graduated from Gilmer County High School. She attended Crown View Baptist Church in Dalton, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Lois spent many years working in the textile industry. She loved music and could recite almost any poem she'd ever read.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Johnnie Webb of Dalton, Vivian Ellis Bryant and Tarby of Big Canoe, GA, Jackie McEntire and Bob of Dalton; grandchildren, Regina Pack, Kenneth Pack, Kristie Webb Cummings, Jason (Savannah) Webb, Greta Webb (Tim) Campbell, Victoria Webb, Aravia Webb (Nathaniel) Mays, Lacey (Eric) Stinnett, Lance Ellis, Chad (Brittany) McEntire and Heather (Joe) Young; great-grandchildren, Tegan McEntire, Hadley Young, Sydney McEntire, Zalena Cummings, John Russel Webb and Chadwick McEntire; sisters Esther Hefner and Shirley Ellis; blessed with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Deems officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m.
In lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, GA Chapter
