Mr. Herman O. Dalton, 90, of Dalton, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Henry C. and Frances Whittimore Dalton and was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Bryant Garrison, his second wife, Inez Bagley Dalton and a grandson, Dean Merritt.
Herman was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
He was a member of Center Point Baptist Church, retired from Goodyear after 60 years of service and loved bird hunting with his dogs.
Herman is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Letitia and Gary Langley of Macon; step-daughter, Brenda Adams of Dalton; granddaughter, Angela (Brian) McFalls of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Dylan) Blalock and Zac Reed; great-great-grandchildren, Branson Joyce and Megan Merritt; brothers, Fred Dalton, Leon Dalton and Johnny Dalton all of Chatsworth and a sister, Virginia Caylor of Chatsworth; special friend, Pat Jordan of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Matthew Futch officiating.
Burial will be in Fain Cemetery in Calhoun.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
