Katheryn Cloer Scott, 80, of Villanow, GA passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Katheryn was co-owner with her husband, James W. Scott, of J&K Yarns from 1972 to 2012. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bonnie Cloer and sister, Mildred Willean Davis.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, James W. Scott of the residence; children and their spouses, Vickie Callahan Sampson of Dalton, Larry Callahan of Dalton, Donna Callahan Sisson (Tommy) of Dalton, and Misty Callahan Cook (Marty) of Villanow; siblings, Sue Ward of Cullman, AL, Margie Ledford of Ringgold, and Wanda Caylor of Dalton; grandchildren, Kimberley Sampson, Derek Callahan, Christopher Callahan, Anna Kate Sisson, Jason Cook, Katie Cook, Cody Cook, and Dusty Cook; 4 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The funeral to honor the life of Katheryn will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, May 27, from the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Miles officiating.

Burial will follow in White Cemetery in Villanow.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 26, from 5 until 8 PM.
