Thomas Speck

Mr. Tommy R. Speck, 84, of Dalton passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at his residence.

He was the son of the late George M. and Artie Bagley Speck and was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Monteen Williams Speck and brother, George Bowie Speck.

Tommy was veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. He loved animals and would feed any stray that he came in contact with. Tommy loved to garden and build furniture. He had a loving heart and was a very giving man.

Tommy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Alton Key of Tunnel Hill; sister, Kate Cochran of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Shannon (Brian) Peters of Cartersville and Eric (Alivia) Key of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Tanner Peters, Grant Peters, Sam Peters and Abram Key; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 1p.m. on Thursday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Evans officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m.
