Marie Westmoreland

Marie Larmon Westmoreland, age 90, of Dalton, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was of the Baptist faith and a member of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.
She was a avid gardener and seamstress. She and her husband were co-owners of L&W Grocery on North Hamilton Street for twenty years.

Marie was born Jan 17, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents Angus “Yank” and Viola Cooper Larmon, daughter, Barbara Adair, brother I.T. Larmon, sister, Edna Dillingham.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Arvil Westmoreland of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Wayne Murdock of Pooler Georgia,; three grandsons, Chris Adair of Chatsworth, Jeremy Lewallen of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Randy (Angie) Lewallen of Rocky Face, Georgia. Granddaughter, Angie Lovain of Chatsworth; four great grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Caroline Lewallen and Yogi Stephen Lovain. Brothers and sisters-in-law, A.J. and Frances Larmon, Leonard and Linda Larmon, Nieces and nephews.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you for the love and compassion given to Marie by her special caregivers, Tammy Oxford, Laura Hatchett, Charlotte Spivey and Diann Young, and the Hamilton Hospice Team.

The funeral service to honor the life of Marie Westmoreland will be held 11:00am Thursday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Guffey and the Rev. Robert Beavers officiating.

Burial will in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00p-8:00p.
