Jean Barron Jackson

Mrs. Jean Barron Jackson, 94, of Dalton passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Doctor Robert W. Jackson, Sr., and her sister, Aline Nicholson.

Jean was a member of Dalton First Baptist Church where she served actively for years in all facets of the Church’s life and ministry. She dedicated her life to serving and honoring God and as a helpmate to her husband as he served as a pastor, educator, and minister.

She is survived by her sons, David Jackson of Dalton and Robert Jackson, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN and nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Jane Jackson, Alice and Charles Causey, Carol and David Loudon, Bob Levy, Dr. and Mrs. R. Leland Guy, Nancy and Allen Thames, Sidney and Rita Nicholson and David Nicholson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon and the Rev. Larry Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m.
