Mrs. Geneva Mashburn Seago, of Dalton passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert and Julie Sexton Mashburn and 11 siblings.
“Ms. Genie” was an Army wife and volunteered on post for the Red Cross. She worked for Eckerd Drugs in Dalton for four decades, retiring in 2005.
Geneva is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Seago and James Robert Beavers, Jr. of Dalton; grandchildren, Amy Beavers Grammer, Kathryn Diane Beavers Weihrauch and David Weihrauch; great-granddaughters, Lauren Grammer and Ann Marie Grammer; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Willis Mashburn of Dalton, Mrs. Jeff Mashburn and Mrs. Jack Mashburn, both of Resaca; special niece and nephew, Virginia Ripley and Lamar Hawkins; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald McKinney officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Murray County.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m.
