Lorazetta Hefner

Mrs. Lorazetta McKinney Hefner, 76, of Cohutta, passed away Saturday August 19, 2017 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late, Henry and Ollie Carroll McKinney and was preceded in death by her husband Byron Hefner; brothers, Aaron Guinn, Lewis Guinn, Ralph Guinn, twin brother Leon McKinney; sister Margaret McKinney Hartness Johnson. Lorazetta was a member of Concord Baptist Church (Cohutta). She was very active in her church and community, volunteering, delivering meal and visiting with Church members and people in her community. She is survived by her sons, David Byron Hefner of Cohutta, Phillip Leon Hefner of Dalton, Russell Alan Hefner of Cohutta and Bruce Aaron Hefner of Snellville, GA; sister Clara Sue Tipton of Dalton; grandchildren, Trevor Lynelle Byron Hefner and Phillip Logan Hefner; nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Hale Officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Adam Staten, David Ogle, Steve Crow, Ira Hefner, David McEnturff and Robbie Ward serving as pallbearers. Leeroy Hefner and Randy Guinn will be honorary pallbearers.
