Johnne Roberts

Mrs. Johnne Sue Roberts entered the gates of heaven on August 30, 2017.

She was born May 11, 1934 to the late John and Orbie Stephenson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy (Bud) Roberts; brother, Triston Stephenson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nellie and Guy Roberts; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Clarence Bowman and J.D. Nicholson.

Johnne was a kind and compassionate southern lady. She volunteered as a Grey Lady at Hamilton Medical Center for 31 years and for meals on wheels for several years. She was also a member of Dalton First United Methodist Church for 63 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Holcomb of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Liz Roberts of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Dale McClain and Tiffany Hamilton of Dalton, Alyson Holcomb of Suwanee, Andrew Pelfrey of Atlanta, and Rebecca Hurst of Dalton; great grandchildren, Ayden Mills of Suwanee, Kyran Hurst of Dalton, and Cash McClain of Dalton; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Nita Nicholson of Dalton and Cheryl and Bill Roberts of Dalton; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Johnne will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Dalton First United Methodist Church with Chaplain Craig Miles officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 3.
