Patricia Ann Stephenson Robertson

Mrs. Patricia Stephenson Robertson of Dalton, Age 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, December 21, while in Hospice care in Nashville, Tennessee after a battle of 30 years with Autoimmune Hepatitis.

Pat is a lifetime resident of Dalton and owned and operated Bishop Gardens, a landscape design company, for 15 years. She had a passion for being outside in nature and an amazing talent for gardening. A natural designer and horticulturist by birth, Pat was a Georgia Master Gardener and put this gift to use on many residences in and around Dalton. In her earlier years she volunteered hundreds of hours at Hamilton Medical Center as a Grey Lady. Pat was most fond of spending time with her “grandbabies”, going to the lake with family and friends, and was an extremely exceptional baker, cook and homemaker. She loved spending time teaching her granddaughters to bake and cook and clean.

Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald “Robby” Robertson, as well as a son and daughter in law, Chris Robertson and Colby Damron Robertson, and two adorable granddaughters, Gigi and Ellis Robertson, all of Dalton. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy and very special to her, and in return they loved their Mimi dearly.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Stephenson and Bessie Lou Owenby Stephenson, of Dalton, as well as three sisters Virginia Shields, Agnes Brown and Jean Gowens, and a brother, Frank Stephenson. She is survived by her sister and brother in law, Virgie and Stewart Blackwell of Morganton, GA, and sister Louise Young, of O’Fallon, IL. Her surviving brother and sister in laws are, Don and Juanita Stephenson of Dalton, and Paul and Martha Stephenson, of Rocky Face, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends at the First Baptist Church of Dalton in the atrium on Tuesday, December 26th from three until five. At five o’clock in the chapel there will be a memorial service and celebration of the mother, wife, grandmother and friend that Pat was to all that loved her.
