Virginia Simonson

Mrs. Virginia Irene Coley Simonson, 89, of Dalton passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Daisy Miller Coley and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Simonson and niece, Shirley Hammontree.

Virginia was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Leonard (Ginger) Hogue of Resaca and Pat (Wendall) Allen of Dalton and special niece, Diane (Paul) Nealey of Ellijay. Great nieces and nephews also survive.

Services will be on Thursday at Noon in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Willis officiating.

Burial will be in Ellijay City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Morris St. Dalton, Ga. 30721 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
