William Elbert Richmond

Mr. William Elbert Richmond, 81, of Ringgold and formerly of the Deep Springs Community, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, W. H. and Maude Hackney Richmond and was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Richmond Stiers.
Elbert is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Arthur Richmond, Sr. of Ringgold and Paul Lee Richmond and his wife, Alessandra of Atlanta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie and Ralph Muse of Resaca, Margaret Blackwell of Cohutta, Audry Gordy of Calhoun, Judy and Bobby Padgett of Cleveland, TN.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Jewell Richmond of Cave Springs, GA., Freddie and Wynona Richmond of Dalton, Cecil and Jane Richmond of Resaca, Kenneth and Barbara Richmond of Dalton; grandchildren, Steven Richmond, Jr., Elizabeth Richmond, Graham Richmond, Katherine Richmond, Justin Richmond and Christopher Richmond; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 A. M. Thursday at Deep Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Daughtery and the Rev. Clyde Richmond officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. and Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
