Phoebe Cornelison

Mrs. Phoebe Sims Cornelison 85, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late John and Dovie Holmes Sims and was preceded in death by her husband J.A. Cornelison Jr.; son, Randy Cornelison; great-granddaughter, Christian Davis; sister, Ruby Thomas; and brothers, John Sims, Jr. and Jerry Lee Sims. Phoebe was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church and was a resident of Ridgewood Manor.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Leona Cornelison of Murphy, TN.; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Marshall Ball of Rocky Face; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. William and Pauline Sims of Dalton; grandchildren, Calvin Bell, Brian Cornelison, Joseph Curt and Julie Cornelison, Carly and Shane Davis, Kendall and Erin Ball; great granchildren, Amy Cornelison, Katlyn Cornelison, Vincent Cornelison, Cameron Davis, Kendra Ball, and Hallee Ball; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. at West Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Marlin officiating.
The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to Unity Baptist Church, 1008 Burleyson Dr., Dalton, Ga. 30720.
