Ethel Barton

Mrs. Ethel Harper Barton, 98, of Dalton, passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at Ridgewood Manor Health Care.
She was the daughter of the late John Harper and Anna Parks Harper and was preceded in death by her husband Henry Floyd Barton, Sr.; daughter, Ruth Chambers; sons, Henry Floyd Barton, Jr., and James Clifford Barton; two sisters and four brothers. Ethel was a member of Cross Pointe Church of God.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Elizabeth Cobos Barton of Dalton; sister, Ada Mae Key of Chatsworth; 6 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Saturday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Herman of Hamilton Hospice officiating.Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will recieve friends Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in her memory to a Haiti fund or your favorite charity.
