Sfc J.C. Whisenant

SFC J. C. Whisenant, 75, of Rocky Face, GA., passed on to heaven Wednesday , January 27, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Cecil Whisenant; daughter,
Angela Whisenant; brothers, D.L. Whisenant and Melford Whisenant; uncle, Conley Sutton and the mother of his children, Irene King Whisenant.
J.C. was retired from the U.S. Army and was a member of the Cohutta Masonic Lodge # 64 F& AM.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Charlie Daves of Chatsworth, GA., Sharon and Lee Roels of Dalton, GA., Jacinta ”Cinty” and Daniel Ward of Ringgold, GA.; grandsons, Daniel and Scott Thomason, Aaron Mansfield, Zanovah Ward and Grant Ward; granddaughters, Hallie Mansfield and Camie Ward; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Molly and Ethan Thomason; brothers and sisters, Calvin Whisenant, Winfred Whisenant, Sam, Jr. Whisenant, Virgil Whisenant, Lucy Ramsey and Joy Cockburn.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Smith and the Rev. Tim Redden officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday after 5 P.M.
