Martha Shepherd Morrison

Mrs. Martha Shepherd Morrison, 74, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late, John and Nettie Holt Shepherd and was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Shepherd Clements; brothers, Julian Shepherd and Talmadge Shepherd.
Martha was a life long member of Central Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Berry College where she was a member of the basketball team. Martha was a nurse for over forty years where she cared for the patients of, Dr. Wells, Dr. Mahan, Dr. Boyd, and Home Health Care. She was a loving caretaker for all and was always there for anyone in need.
Martha is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Jeff Galloway of Cartersville and daughter, Amy Morrison also of Cartersville; sister, Evelyn Shepherd Weaver of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, James T. and Alwilda Shepherd of Rocky Face, Harold and Brenda Shepherd of Dalton and Larry and Joanne Shepherd of Rocky Face; sister-in-law, Martha Earl Shepherd of Dalton; grandchildren, Chandler Galloway, Meredith Galloway, Harrison Galloway and Hannah Morrison all of Cartersville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Central Church of Christ with Ronnie Missildine and Ross Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 7 P.M.
