Mrs. Susan Bartenfeld Jensen, age 40, of Billings Montana, formerly of Dalton went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 8, 2010 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas after a courageous and inspiring 4 year battle with breast cancer.
Susan’s courage and faith throughout this trial inspired people all across the country as they followed her journey through family, friends, and reading her journal on caringbridge.org. She always looked at her disease as part of God’s plan for her life and embraced that belief with all her being. Her courage and faith had a profound impact in the Billings Medical Community as she shared the wonders of God’s faithfulness and love to her caregiver’s. She regularly visited with other cancer patients giving of herself even in the midst of her own fight for life. Her courage touched the lives of her doctors so much so that she was asked to serve on the Survivor Board of Directors for the Billings Cancer Center where she served faithfully for over a year. Her ideas provided the backbone for a mentorship program at the Billings Cancer Center that will undoubtedly help countless other cancer victims cope with their disease for years to come. Most importantly of all however, is that without a doubt Susan’s testimony has changed the eternity for several people that she has touched and we are so grateful for the privilege of having her in our lives.
