Marie Geren

Mrs. Marie Williams Geren, 89, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Geren in 1985 and her sister, Eloise Ellis Painter.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dalton, where she volunteered with the pre-school for over 50 years. She worked at Dalton Federal Savings and Loan and Belk’s Department Store and volunteered with the Red Cross at Hamilton Medical Center for over 30 years.
Marie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Geri “Goober” and Jeri Geren of Rocky Face and Mike Geren of Dalton; daughter-in-law, Joan Geren of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Chad Geren, Toby Geren, Melanie Geren, Lisa Geren and Patrick Geren; great-grandchildren, Taylor Geren, Jazmine Geren, Hunter Poole, Sydney Poole; nephew, Bill Ellis of Marietta, Ga.; niece, Beth Decker of Nashville, TN.
Services will be Sunday at 4 P.M. from the First Baptist Church of Dalton with the Rev. Larry Flanagan officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 11 to 3:30 P.M.
