George Barnard

Mr. George Barnard, 80, of Rocky Face, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday April 15, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 3, 1929, son of the late, Jessie and Adeline Stevenson Barnard and was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Sara Jane and Vick Boyd; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Mildred Barnard; brother-in-law, J. C. McMillan. George retired from Strain Poultry Farms after 40 plus years of service. He was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah Ellen Caldwell Barnard of Rocky Face; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tom Kinnamon of Chatsworth, GA.; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Mary Ann Barnard of Rocky Face; sister, Dorothy McMillan of Dalton; grandchildren, Michelle Kinnamon, Khale and Courtney Kinnamon, Scott and Heather Kinnamon, Samantha and Joey Splawn, Jennifer and Drew Watkins and Jesse Barnard; great-grandchildren, Collin Kinnamon, Clara Kinnamon, Karcy Kinnamon, Kirby Kinnamon, Katherine Kinnamon, Mitchell Kinnamon, Harrison Kinnamon, Taylor Splawn, Avery Splawn and Tyler Watkins; nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Sunday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald W. McKinney officiating.
Burial will be in the Varnell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to
8 P.M.
