Mrs. Ann Quinlan Bradley, 87, of Dalton passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Patrick Quinlan and Dorothy Liberty Quinlan and her son, Richard “Dick” Crisp Bradley. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Paul L. Bradley, son and daughter-in-law Paul L. Bradley, Jr and Barbara, of Columbia, SC, daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and William Edwards of Dalton, Ga and Lynn and Randy Evans of Jacksonville, Fl, special nephew, George Mathews and wife, Christine, of Morristown, TN, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was born in Newberry, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula. She graduated from Newberry High School in 1940 and from the Augustana School of Nursing in Chicago, IL in 1944. She served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during WWII. She started the Hamilton Medical Tumor Registry and maintained it for 10 years. She served on the Boards of the RossWoods Adult Day Care, AIDS Task Force, Voluntary Action Center, and The Girl Scouts. She also volunteered her time to numerous other organizations. She was recognized as Dalton’s Woman of the Year in 1960.

Visitation will be at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 1st with the funeral following at 11 a.m.with the Rev. C. Dean Taylor officiating.
