Mr. Michael J. Sterlacci, 88, of Dalton, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 2, 2010 in Savannah, GA.
He was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Miele and his mother-in-law, Erma White.
Mike was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. having served during WWII, he lived his life by the code of the Marines- Duty, Honor, Country. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
He was involved with the Carpet Industry (in all aspects) from 1949 to 2004.
Mike was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and best friend.
He is survived by his wife, Linda White Sterlacci of Dalton; children and their spouses, Annette and Ken Findley of Tyler, TX., Susan and Peter Demiduk of Clearwater, FL. and Michael T and Heidi Sterlacci of Dallas, TX; brother, Anthony Sterlacci of New Jersey; grandchildren, Kenny Findley, Kyle Findley, Ashlee Demiduk, Michael Sterlacci, Christopher Sterlacci and Samantha Sterlacci; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 A. M. Monday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Mickey Shealy officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Dalton Parkinson’s Disease Support Group c/o RossWoods Adult Day Care Services, P.O. Box 307, Dalton, GA. 30722.
