Velimir Svoren, M.D.

Velimir Svoren, M.D., 63, died October31, 2006.
Dr. Svoren was born and educated in Croatia amd immigrated to the United States in 1968. For 38 years, he worked as a Psychiatrist, helping literally thousands of people throughout his lifetime. Vel was a beloved physician, full of compassion and known for his wit and unique style. His passion included Murray County and sailing his canoe and music of all varieties.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Svoren of Crandall.
Daughter, Jena Svoren of Atlanta.
He is also survived by a daughters from a previous marriage Lada Contos of Princeton, N.J. and Nina Black of Taccoa.
A visitation will be held at Love Funeral Home on sunday from 1 to 3 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Carter Hope Center.
