William "Bill" Jett

William Mr. William “Bill” Jett, 79, of Hattiesburg, MS. formerly of Jackson, MS. and Dalton, died October 6, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital.
Mr. Jett was a district Supervisor with Super Value Foods and a member of the Church of God faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was an elected member of the Mississippi Bowling Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Willie Jett; brothers, Horace Greely Jett, Jr., Harry Lamar Jett and Donald Gene Jett; and a sister, Barbara Jo Keener.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Faye M. Jett of Hattiesburg; sons, Randy (Diane) Jett and Kenny Jett both of Hattiesburg; brothers, Larry Leon (Hazel) Jett of Ladson, South Carolina and Charles Edward (Eleanor) Jett of Weatherford, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Stoner of West Palm Beach, Florida, Brenda (Sonny) Patterson of Dalton, Georgia and Nelda Kay Jett of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Dana (Brad) Chisolm of Petal, Will (Chelsi) Jett of Reno, Nevada, Kenny Jett of Panama City, Florida, Melinda (Patrick) Biglane of Starkville and Leigh Anne Jett of Hattiesburg; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
