William Nettles

Mr. William S. “Bill” Nettles, 85, of Dalton, Ga., died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at his residence.
He was born August 22, 1921 in Rockmart, Ga., son of the late, Calloway and Florence Baker Nettles and was preceded in death by his sisters, Thelma Crawford, Ione Morgan, Mary Taff and Anna Ruth White; brother, Charles Baker Nettles.
Bill resided in Dalton since 1948, where he was employed by Metropolitan Insurance Co. and retired as owner of Discount Carpet Barn.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane Daniel Nettles of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, William E. “Billy” and Terry Nettles of Vail, Co.; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Walter Parsons of Dalton; grandchildren, Kendal Nettles of Jupiter, Fl., Jennifer Jones of Chicago, IL., Lesley Zarzana of Cumming, Ga. and Mark Parsons of Dalton; Five great=grandchildren also survive.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Chaplain David Legrand and Rev. Bill Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to
7 P.M.
