Dorothy "Dot" Booker

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Smith Booker, 69, of Varnell, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.
She was the daughter of the late, C.I. and Effie Underwood Smith and was preceded in death by her sisters, Francis Richmond, Jean Smith and Sarah Elsberry.
Dot is survived by her loving husband, Frank H. Booker, Sr. of Varnell; daughters and sons-in-law, Anita Booker Pritchard and Jeff of Dalton, Rebecca Booker Alverson and Trevor of Ringgold; son, Franklin H. Booker, Jr. of Varnell; sister, Shirley Kinsey of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Derryl and Tullah Smith of Dalton; half-brothers and half-sister, Roy Smith and Glenn Smith both of Griffin, GA. and Ann Autry of Loudon, TN.; grandchidlren, Emily Pritchard, Marshall Pritchard, Frankie Booker, Kylus Booker, Harrison Booker, Coe Booker, Tristan Alverson and Hayden Alverson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Kidd and the Rev. Rodney Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Cohutta.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 9 P.M.
