Mrs. Pauline Wofford Haygood, 100, of Dalton, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded by her son, Arnold Haygood; sisters, Retha Quinton and Ruby Palmer.
While on this earth she touched many lives through her love, kind and generous ways. Pauline never missed an opportunity to share her life experiences and help everyone to understand how her great love for her Lord helped her to make it through each and every one of them. Pauline was a registered nurse and it was that calling which lead her to serve as House Mother with Georgia Baptist Children's Home for 13 years. It was in this position that she touched many young lives. Pauline was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church and at the time of her passing she was the oldest living member.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Kish and sister, Violet Floyd both of Dalton; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Noon Saturday from Unity Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Marlin officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers..
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 4 to 7 P. M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Georgia Baptist Children’s Home,
P.O. Box 329, Palmetto, GA. 30268.
