Ronald E. King

Mr. Ronald E. King, 76, of Dalton, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, Charlie King and Maude Watters King.
Ronald and his brother Arnold started Textile Maintenance in 1967 and retired in 1986; He was a loving husband, father, grandfather; great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisherman before falling ill; he was always a thrill taker, (pilot without a licence, Evel Knievel on motorcycles and fast cars). He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Violet Mitchell, Frankie Wooten and Hazel Cox; brothers, Samuel King, Watters King, George King and Grady King and his son, Mark King.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Frances Bartley King of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Wayne Sanford of Chatsworth, Ga., Kathy and David Young of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Jennifer King of Gainesville, Fl. and Kendall and Priscilla King of Kennesaw, Ga.; grandchildren, Lynn Davenport, Ernest Ridley, Joey Young and Derek Young, Kendall and Katie King, Danny King, Dewayne King, David King, Jordan King, Stacey Carpenter and Kelly Page; great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Jewel King of Dalton; sister, Evvie King Gravely of Dalton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sarah King, Betty King and Pauline Bartley all of Dalton, Betty Jean Bartley, Martha Ridley, Ruth and Rev. Bobby Souther all of Chatsworth, James and Rose Bartley of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at Noon in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with The Rev. Bobby Souther officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Diabetes Treatment Center, P.O. Bos1168, Dalton, Ga. 30722-1168.
