Mr. Benjamin Franklin “Frank” White, 98, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday,
January 17, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He retired from the Department of Transportation after 40 plus years and then worked for the City of Dalton for 10 years. He was a member of the Dug Gap Baptist Church.
Frank was the son of the late, H.C. and Gertrude Hayes White and was preceded
in death by his sister, Rosa Mae Calhoun and his wife, Edith Jewell Dixon White in 1993.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Highsmith, Gail Green,
Pheliece and Jimmy Mahoney all of Dalton, Daphne and Mike Holdredge of Newnan, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Ellen White of Marietta, Ga., Dixon and Bettie White of Dalton; Brother, J.C. White of Dalton; grandchildren, Cynthia Land of Marietta, David White of Canton, Vickie Dillard of Dalton, Vanessa Hill of Cohutta, Valerie Hill of Dalton, Angela Maze of Tuscaloosa, Al., Barry Green of Dalton, Mike Mahoney of Rocky Face, Pat Mahoney of Phoenix, AZ., Jeff Mahoney of Rome, Natalie White of Dalton, Heather Raymond of Newnan, Celeste Holdredge of Newnan and Charity Courson of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Bobby Land, Erika Land, Katie White, Hannah White, Carrie Clayton, Jocelyn Talley, Caleb Mahoney, Hannah Mahoney, Grace Mahoney and Luke Mahoney; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Dillard, Benjamin and Kyle Griffin and Landen Talley; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Dug Gap Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Cummings officiating.
Burial will be in the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Friday after 4 P.M.
