Mr. Jimmie Jason Lankford

Mr. Jimmie Jason Lankford, 76, of Dalton, passed away Friday, February 2, 2007 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Bessie Giddens Lankford and was preceded in death by his sister, Johnnie Lee Martino and his brother, Robert Pierce Lankford. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and returned to Dalton after a career as an educator and principal in Fulton County Schools.
Jimmie is survived by his nieces, Malinda L. Temple and husband Joseph and Rebecca L. Thomason of Dalton; great-nephew, Robert William Thomason of Dalton; great-nieces, Lora Lee Turner, Marian Elizabeth Deal and Malinda Ree Temple all of Dalton; sister-in-law, Marian Duncan Lankford of Dalton; special cousin, Barbara Giddens Johnson of Tunnel Hill and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
Services will be Monday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Monday from Noon to
2 P.M.
