Mr. Jerry D. Ledford, 60, of Dalton, died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in Vietnam. He worked for
G.T.E. and ALLTEL and retired after 30 years.
He was the son of the late, William “Boss” and Margaret Beasley Ledford and was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Ledford and his sister, Faye Godfrey.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Martha Bishop Ledford of Dalton;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Wallace Hall of Ringgold, Ga., DeAnna
and Glenn Swilling of Cohutta, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, William Ledford, Jr. and Daris of Murray County, Dewayne and Bernice Ledford, Albert and Charlotte Ledford all of Cohutta; special friend and mother-in-law, Mamie Bishop of Dalton; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Saturday at 4 P. M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Angel and the Rev. Lawrence Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with American Legion Post # 112 in charge of graveside rites. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday after 5 P.M.
