Emmett M. Whitfield

Mr. Emmett M. Whitfield, 91, of Dalton, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He worked with the Ga. State Patrol, G.B.I., F.B.I. and then returned to the
G.B.I., where he retired as captain. He was also a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church.
Emmett is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Hazel Biggers Whitfield of Dalton.
Son, Sherrill Whitfield of Dalton.
Daughter, Gail Whitfield of Dalton.
Grandchildren, Tim Whitfield of Dalton, Traci Whitfield Hardeman of Atlanta, Terri Whitfield Joiner of Canton and Zane Emmett Lowery of Dalton.
6 Great-grandchildren also survive.
Nieces and Nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2 P.M. from the First Baptist Church of Dalton with the Rev. Larry Flanagan officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 7 P.M.
The famliy asks that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Dalton First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, Ga. 30722.
