Aaron Christian Zachary Coulter, 35, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph Coulter, Jr., LaNell Coulter, and Leroy Baddorf.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Michael and Joni Coulter; sister, Anastasia Teasley (Derek); brother, Brendan Coulter; niece and nephews, Adeline Teasley, William Teasley, and Sebastian Coulter; grandmother, Phyllis Baddorf; and aunts and uncles, Amaryllis Dysart, Ronnie Coulter (Bel), Sherry Graham (Scott), Steve Baddorf, and Tina Gallas (Larry). Many cousins also survive.
Aaron was a 2006 graduate of Dalton High School and attended Dalton State College and the University of West Georgia. He was a champion for social justice causes advocating for and with his friends in a variety of social justice platforms. He loved collecting first edition copies of books relating to social justice and enjoyed collecting classic books in general. Aaron also served in missionary work in both Thailand and Mexico. He created a non-profit organization called the SMILE Project, which helped fund transportation costs for individuals to travel to Boston for surgical procedures related to facial paralysis. He loved travelling the world and all forms of music, especially the blues, and was a true aficionado of fine films.
Funeral services for Aaron will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers for Aaron's service will be Brendan Coulter, Derek Teasley, Mason Gavin, Adam Disinger, James Henderson, Alex Wein, Daniel Deslattes, Nick Deslattes, Ronnie Coulter (honorary), and Michael Coulter (honorary).
