Betty Ann Armstrong

Betty Ann Dillard Armstrong, 96, of Dalton passed away Tuesday June 21, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Armstrong; her parents, William and Ida Dillard; and her six sisters.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Rick Powell and Laurie and Scooter Swanson; grandchildren, Josh and Mary Beth Powell, John and Haley Powell, and John Cole; great-grandchildren, Harrison, Madyson, and Kailyn Powell, Catherine and Chandler Jones, and William and Oscar Powell. Nieces and nephews also survive.

The family wishes to thank her faithful and loving weekly caregivers: Deanna Baker, Michelle Brown, Jackie Harvey, Latisha Thomas, and Marsha Whitener. Special thanks to all the Amedisys Hospice nurses, especially her weekly caregivers: Jennifer McClain, Kim Howard, and Zeidi Magana Torres.

A private family memorial service will be held. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First United Methodist Church (500 South Thornton Avenue, Dalton, GA 30720) or to one’s favorite charity.
