Betty Kilgore James

Mrs. Betty Kilgore James, 80, of Chatsworth and formerly of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the residence of Ed and Margaret Kilgore.

She was the owner of Brent’s Florist and Gifts and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Chatsworth.

She was the daughter of the late Lorene Kilgore and was raised by Martha and James Hughes Kilgore. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years Billy N. James in 2010 and brothers J.A., Julian, Connie, Fincher and Norris Kilgore.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Belinda James of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Wesley Wooten, Kelsey McBrayer and Jimmy Silvers all of Chatsworth; sister, Margie Gray of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, Edmond and Margaret Kilgore of Chatsworth.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Kilgore, Rev. Levoyd Whitton and Mr. George Cross officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Kilgore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 on Friday at the funeral home.
