Betty Langford

Betty LeRoy Langford, 89, of Dalton passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020. Betty was born April 30, 1931, to the late Ed and Kate LeRoy, and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Langford, and her brothers, Bob and Walter LeRoy.

Betty was an educator, having taught 25 years in the Dalton Public School System until she retired in 1994. Betty was an active member of Dalton First Baptist Church for 65 years, where she taught single and young married adults and worked in the Soul Food Ministry. She was ordained as a deacon in 2005.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Ken) Russell, Reid Langford, and Betsy (Jim) Parker; grandchildren, Kent and Katy Russell.

A private funeral service for Betty's extended family will be held at First Baptist Church, Dalton, on Thursday, June 25, at 2:00 p.m. The Church will live stream the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. ( fbcdalton.org/streaming ).
