Betty Evelyn Mcpherson

Mrs. Betty Evelyn McPherson, 88, entered Heavens gates on Saturday, February 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mammie Bishop. Betty was also preceded in death by her son, James “Lamar” Bailey; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Jerry Ledford; brother, Deforest “Buck” Bishop; son-in-law, Herb Joyce.

She was a devoted mother and mamaw.

Betty is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Carl and Gail Bradley, Patty Joyce and Mendy McPherson; granddaughters, Jennifer and Steve Silvers, Regina Durham (James Nix) all of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Henry Hanners of Jupiter, FL. She is also survived by her great-grandsons (her boys), Hunter Bradley, Ian Bradley and Bryson Durham; great-granddaughter, Amber Mull; great-great-granddaughter, Zoey Mull, aka Sally; she is also survived by her nieces and nephews and all her adoptive grandkids.

A special thank you to her caregiver Charlotte Underwood and to her nurses Ashleigh and Aylssa and all the staff at Amedysis Hospice, Thank you all.

Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Cantrell officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Steve Silvers, James Nix, Richard Owenby, Ian Bradley, Chaise Bradley and Bo Rolen serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from Noon until the service at 3 p.m.
