Betty Sue Morris

Mrs. Betty Sue Headrick Morris, age 96, of Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Sunday May 14, 2023. Betty was born September 11, 1926, in Eton, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Tinker Headrick and Sula Dixon Headrick. Betty was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years, William “Mack” McAdoo Morris She was also preceded by her stepmother, Nola Headrick; brothers, LeRoy Headrick, Jimmie Headrick; sisters, Mildred Cline Rich, Raymona Spivey, Mary Jo Cox, Aline Bandy, Jeanette Kersey; son-in-law, David Percynski. She was the owner and operator of Merle Norman Cosmetics. Betty was also a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her loving daughters, Gloria Percynski, Teresa and John Alsup; brother, Tommy and Jean Headrick; Billy and Johnnie Faye Headrick, Steve and Susan Headrick; sisters, Emma Cox, Bobbie Hawkins, and Wanda and Doug Baggett, many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Service to celebrate the life of Betty Sue Headrick Morris will be held Wednesday May 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Cannon officiating. Interment will follow the service at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 17, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m.
