Betty Jean Trammell

Betty Jean Trammell, 82, of Dalton passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.H. and Ruth Williams; husband, R.C. Trammell; brothers, Robert “Bob” Williams, Hubert “Bill” Williams (Anita), Thomas Williams and Donald “Duke” Williams; sister, Sherion Hornsby (Jay).

Betty worked for Lamar Elrod at his laundry mat for 17 years. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. Betty liked to spend her time gardening and had quite the green thumb.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Trammell; brothers, Henry Williams (Kristi), Vernon Williams (Martha); sisters in law, Doris Williams and Joyce Williams; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday at Tilton Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Beach and Rev. James Watts officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 4 PM at Love Funeral Home.
