Beverly Jo Green

Mrs. Beverly Jo Green, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 5th, 2024, at her residence.  She was born on Friday, July 4th, 1952, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Claude and Mrs. Helen Herring.

She spent her career as a dental hygienist, with a special focus and emphasis on working with and helping children.  She spent many years traveling to different schools throughout North Georgia teaching children about the importance of brushing and taking care of their teeth, as well as the importance of going to the dentist for regular checkups.  Her love for children extended beyond that of her working career, as she also dedicated as much time as she could to helping with and volunteering with all of the various children’s ministries in church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Claude and Mrs. Helen Herring.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Mr. Wesley Green, with whom she had known and been friends with for several years prior to their marriage.  She is also survived by her brothers, Mr. David Herring of Pueblo West, Colorado, and Mr. Mark Herring of Dalton.  Additionally, several cousins and nieces also survive to cherish her memory.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Beverly Green will be held on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon at Dalton First United Methodist Church in the church chapel with the Reverend Dr. Steven Usry officiating.  Her cremated remains will be inurned immediately following the service in the church columbarium.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with her family beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and throughout the service hour.
