Bobbie Love Merritt

Bobbie Love Merritt passed away December 16, 2023, at the age of 90, after an extended illness. She is survived by nieces, Mary Katherine Love Sisk, JoAnn Love Cowell, and nephew, Dawson Love Jr. Great nieces and nephews, Tony Love, Greg Cowell, Sherri Kaye Sisk, Kristy Cowell, and Jennifer Love Griswell also survive.

Bobbie was born on July 18, 1933, in Rocky Face, GA, to the late Sam and Ethel Love. Bobbie is proceeded in death by her twin brothers, Lawson and Dawson Love, and her beloved nephew, John Robert Love.

Bobbie lived in Ringold, GA and East Ridge, TN. She worked at the Catoosa County Newspaper and Sweetwater Mill in Ringgold. In Bobbie’s younger years, she played classical piano music. She was witty, intelligent, outgoing, and fun. In her late years, she was especially close to her nephew, John Love, who assisted her in her care until he passed away.
