Bonnie Garrett

Bonnie Garrett of Dalton went to her Heavenly Home on June 12, 2023, at Regency Park.

Bonnie was born October 8, 1932, in Fannin County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Ethel Stuart-Elrod; husband, Clifford Garrett; daughter, Ann Ware-Garrett Russell; siblings, Eugene Elrod and Wade Elrod.

Known as “Nanny” to her family, Bonnie had a special “green thumb” when it came to flowers. She loved all kinds of flowers and loved playing in the dirt. More than anything else, she was known for her deep love of all her family. She will be missed greatly by them and all who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Michael Stanley of Calhoun, GA; two grandchildren, Tina Rebecca Russell of Dalton and Eric Michael Stanley of Escalante, UT; three great-grandchildren, Kirsten Landeros (Christian), Gabriel Coker and Diesel Stephens all of Dalton; one great-great-grandchild, Axel Landeros; brothers, Hansel Elrod of Bangor, PA and Reed Elrod (Ramona) of Gainesville, GA; many precious nieces and nephews; special friend, Deron Wright of Chatsworth, GA.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday at Love Funeral Home. The Funeral will follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Lamar Beason officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
