Brandon Nicholson Adams

February 3, 1978 — March 19, 2020

Brandon Nicholson Adams, 42, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Brandon was an amazing husband, father, son, grandson, uncle, cousin, teacher and friend. Brandon had such a kind heart and was always helping those around him.  Brandon spent 14 years in South Korea and this is where he met and married his sweet wife, Gui Young. Brandon loved teaching! He was a teacher of mainly elementary students but also taught high school and college level students while he lived in South Korea. After moving back to the states, Brandon found a teaching position in the Dalton area at Southeast High School. He loved his students and was so proud of them. Brandon was a lifelong learner. At the time of his death, he was working on an ESOL specialist degree.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Gui Young; his son, Ethan; brother, Beau Adams; nephew, Blake Adams; niece, Anna Leigh Adams; father-in-law, Seok Hawn Lee; brother-in-law, Seong Yun Lee; maternal grandmother, Juanita Nicholson; maternal aunt, Deborah Jaco; maternal aunt, Sharon Wedgworth; paternal aunt, Lana Jones; aunt-in law, Maing Ock Yoon; uncle-in-law, Jong Jin Yoon; along with many special cousins and other extended family.

Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Nicholson Hanes; father, Jack Adams, Jr.; sister, Brooke Adams; maternal grandfather, J.D. Nicholson; paternal grandparents, Gay and Jack Adams, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Chun Ock Yoon.

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
