Carolyn Foster Brackett

Carolyn Foster Cole Brackett departed this life on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at her home on Cedar Ridge Road. She was 92 years old.

Born in 1928, she was the daughter of Henry Gordon Foster and Cora Smith Foster. She was a 1945 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Ernest Cole and then by her second husband, Felix Brackett.

Her brother, Smith Foster and brother-in-law, Denton Cole survive her as do sisters-in-law, Betty Foster, Belma Foster, Tina Cole, and Pat Cole. She is also survived by her children, Gary and Patricia Cole, Brenda and Donald Whitley “Eli” Carden, Vernon Lamar and Deborah Cole, and Kaye and John Henderson. Grandchildren surviving are Allen Carden (Tammy) of Canton, Penny Turso (Matt), Michael Cole, Beth Heath (Rodney), Jacob Henderson (Karen) of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Jennifer Pitre (Kevin) of Cumming, Carrie Brown (Greg) of Jefferson, Daniel Cole and David Cole of Colorado Springs, and Mike Cole of Moscow, Russia. Great-grandchildren surviving are Cam Carden (Stacie), Cory Carden (Emily), Cody Carden (Megan), Colby Carden, Eli Turso, Brayden Turso, Zeke Turso, Grant Heath, Holly Heath, Rylee Brown, Willow Brown, Carden Brown, Fern Henderson, and Will Pitre. She is also survived by great-great-grandchildren Keegan Carden, Calvary Carden, Crimson Carden, Kimberly Carden, and Mary Alice Carden.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Reverend Tac Coley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3. Donations may be made to Mount Vernon United Methodist Church or to a cause of the donor's choice.
