Catherine Thomas Mashburn

Catherine Thomas Mashburn of Dalton passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at Hamilton Medical Center. She was 94. She was the daughter of Grady and Ester Downey Thomas and was preceded in death by her husband, John Willis Mashburn; sisters, Evelyn Wilson and Paulette Rosser and brothers, Billy Thomas and Bobby Thomas.

Survivors include sisters, Betty Todd of Atlanta and Doris Rogers of Gainesville, sisters-in-law, Catheryn Mashburn and Goldie Mashburn both of Resaca; many nieces and nephews including special niece and nephew, Linda and Mark McEntire, Bob and Sharon Beavers, Virginia Ripley and special friends, Randy and Tiera Evans, Dewey and Martha Hughes, Michael Jinright and Greely Joiner.

The family wishes to express thanks to the Gardens at Royal Oaks staff as well as to Catherine’s special and devoted caregivers, April Baggett, Amanda Benson, Michelle Baggett and April Bowie.

The funeral will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.

Interment will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m.
