Charlotte Ann Moss

Charlotte Ann Moss, 75, of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Dalton, passed away on December 12, 2022, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Martha Adams.

Ms. Moss loved her children, grandchildren, and other family members and she was loved by them also. She is survived by her children: Angela Moss Gordy, Amy Knowles, Michael Moss (Alexandra), Amanda Wagner (Dr. Seth Wagner); grandchildren, Jake Gordy, Sarah Gordy, Madison Knowles, Ella Knowles, Connor Knowles, and Laney Wagner; siblings, Pat Adams (Linda), Jane Hogan, and Judy Lassetter; and, the father of her children, Dewey Moss. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Ms. Moss served our community as a Nurse at Hamilton Medical Center for many years and as a Nursing Instructor at Dalton State College until her retirement. She was a valued member of the American Legion Post 112 Women’s Auxiliary and dedicated herself also to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Outside of her enjoying quality time with her family, Ms. Moss was also an avid and expert quilter.

Funeral services for Charlotte Moss will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday also from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the American Legion Post 112 Women’s Auxiliary (1118 North Glenwood Avenue, Dalton, GA 30721).
