Christopher "Chris" George Kirkpatrick

Christopher “Chris” George Kirkpatrick, age 63, of Sugar Valley, GA departed this life Wednesday, December 15, 2021, surrounded by loving family. Chris was born August 6, 1958 in Dalton, GA and is the son of the late Mary and George Kirkpatrick. Chris is also preceded in death by his son, Matthew Kirkpatrick. A graduate of Dalton High School, Chris spent most of his career in residential construction and then spent eight years with Engineered Floors in Calhoun, GA. Chris, known for his jovial and light-hearted demeanor, was an avid hunter, fixer of all things, friend to many and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family.

Chris is survived by his daughters Mandi (Eric) Blagg of Simpsonville, SC and Meaghan (Ricky) Nelson of Warner Robins, GA; sister Karen (Chris) Karabinos of Atlanta, GA and brother Jim (Shelley) Kirkpatrick of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren Piper Blagg and Riley and Kipton Nelson; and nephews Christopher (Lauren) Karabinos and John Karabinos and niece Emma Kirkpatrick. He will be missed greatly and forever in their hearts.

Chris will be honored in a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18 ^th , in the Chapel at Dalton First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. in the Atrium at the Church immediately before the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
