Claudelle Brock Kubin

Claudelle Brock Kubin, 76, passed away in her home in the early morning hours of August 22, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Dock Calvin Brock and Will Dee Hayes Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Kubin and her brother Frederick Brock.

Claudelle was born August 31, 1941 in Murray County. Her family moved to Dalton and she graduated from Valley Point High School in 1959. After high school she worked at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and met and married Roger Kubin from Chicago, Illinois while there. They returned to Georgia and raised their family in Dalton. After Roger died suddenly at the age of 38, she returned to work as a bookkeeper/office manager. She also worked several years for the Whitfield County School System. Her faith in the Lord was a foundation for her life and that influence was felt by those around her. She devoted herself to her children and grandchildren. She had a giving, selfless, generous spirit and gladly welcomed others to her home. She loved the Atlanta Braves and making sure that there was plenty of good food available for family and guests. It is a blessing that she had her sister, Pat Brock, to be her special caregiver in her last few years of declining health.

She is survived by her children, Michelle (Thayne) Robins of Houston, TX, Traci (Chuck) Price of Denver, CO, Kathy (Dan) Bennett of St. Louis, MO, and David (Julie) Kubin of Rocky Face; 14 grandchildren, Daniel (Caroline) Kubin, Kaitlynn, Kiersten, and Nethanel Kubin, Emma Rose, Kenny, Sophie, and Everett Robins, Haley Patterson, Randi, Katie and Tyler Price, Justin and Joshua Bennett; her sisters, Patricia Ann Brock of Dalton and Mary Carolyn (Trammel) Dooley of Sugar Valley, GA. along with nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with David Kubin officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
